Is this what conversation has resorted to?

Last night Cody & I had several friends over for dinner. During the course of the evening our conversations focused less on politics.....or world events...... or even the weather and more on things I never imagined I would discuss over dinner......mostly breastfeeding & vacuum cleaners! Is this what conversation has resorted to? I'm not complaining. I've never been much interested in world events or politics and I'm so bloody tired of the heat around here we could never talk about it again & I'd be happy. But seriously....do we reach a point in our lives where this type of talk is the norm???
